John W. Diercksen
John W. Diercksen currently serves on the boards of Accedian, Banco Popular and Cyxtera. Mr. Diercksen is also a Managing Partner in Greycrest LLC which focuses on asset allocation, business development, operating efficiency and productivity improvement and he currently serves as an Executive in Residence at Liontree Capital Advisors. He formerly served on the board of Intelsat as well as Harman International prior to its sale to Samsung.
Prior to his current positions, Mr. Diercksen had a several-decades long career at Verizon with his ultimate position being that of Executive Vice President Strategy, Development and Planning where he was responsible for key strategic initiatives related to the review and assessment of potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. He was instrumental in forging Verizon’s strategy of technology investment and repositioning its assets through the acquisition of spectrum including the cable spectrum transaction; the merger with MCI; the Alltel acquisition; the restructuring of international assets; the spinoff of Verizon’s directories unit and landline assets; and the Terremark and Cloud Switch acquisitions, as well as the acquisition of Vodafone’s partnership interest in Verizon Wireless.
Prior to that, Mr. Diercksen was SVP Investor Relations for Verizon, Acting Group Head Directory for Bell Atlantic, CFO and CIO of the Directory Group and held various senior roles at NYNEX.
Mr. Diercksen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Iona College, an MBA from Pace University and has completed postgraduate work in financial management.
