Spencer Zakarin

Spencer Zakarin is a Principal at Palistar Capital. Mr. Zakarin has 10 years of experience in private credit, private equity and investment banking.

Prior to joining Palistar, Mr. Zakarin was at Blue Road Capital, a middle market private equity fund focused on food and agriculture related businesses. While at Blue Road, Mr. Zakarin worked on over 10 acquisitions representing hundreds of millions of dollars of enterprise value, including the acquisition of Diamond Foods from Snyder’s Lance. Additionally, Mr. Zakarin was deeply involved in the ongoing operations and management of Diamond and helped craft Blue Road’s turnaround strategy in partnership with the CEO.

Mr. Zakarin began his career working in M&A advisory for Centerview Partners, where he focused mainly on the Consumer and Industrial sectors. While at Centerview, Mr. Zakarin advised on ~$30 billion of transactions, including advising Heinz on its go private takeover by 3G Capital and Berkshire Hathaway.

Mr. Zakarin graduated with honors from Princeton University with a BA in History and minors in Near Eastern Studies and Environmental Studies.
